Salter's Completes Major Upgrade In Ski & Snowboard Tuning Equipment
Ken, November 2013
With the start of the new ski season, we are proud to unveil our upgraded workshop.
We've been busy over the last couple of months bringing in a new generation of ski and snowboard tuning equipment. Our partner is Wintersteiger, the Austrian manufacturer of the finest ski and snowboard tuning machines on the market. Our workshop team has installed and been trained on Wintersteiger's P-Tex Repair, Base Repair, Base Grind, Ceramic Edger, Hot Wax, and Computerized Binding Test machines.
Sharp edges are essential for control and flat, waxed bases glide better for ease of turning. Your ability to turn and glide is greatly reduced when you don’t have properly tuned equipment. Why not take advantage of our new state-of-the-art equipment. All work is done on premise and we can get you and your gear back on the slopes quicker than anyone else in the Delaware Valley. Why Custom Ski Orthotics?
Ken, November 2013
Don’t dismiss custom ski orthotics as a luxury add-on. They are as important (and maybe more so) as boot choice and fit. A properly molded and finished orthotic holds your foot in a stable position while eliminating movement and abrasion. It is the foundation that exceptional skiing is built upon. Once you have experienced skiing with a well-made custom foot bed, you will never ski without one again. Our expert boot fitters were some of the the first to incorporate custom orthotics into the boot fitting process over 30 years ago. We flat out make some of the best ski orthotics in the country. Build the right foundation and you will ski better and longer.

Further building on our reputation as the Delaware Valley’s premier boot fitter, we have been authorized as the exclusive regional dealer for the ground breaking Fischer Vacuum-FIT ski boot line. In our 40+ years of fitting ski boots, the Fischer Vacuum-FIT boot series represents one of the few times that a product has been introduced that is truly a game changer.

VACU-PLAST material and a special fitting process achieves a fit like no other. Details on the process and material can be found at Fischer Vacuum Fit. We also have brief descriptions of the Vacuum-FIT boot models we inventory.

Salter’s and Elan have joined forces again!
Ken, September 2013
Elan is a storied Slovenian based manufacturer of skis. The legendary Ingemar Stenmark won three consecutive World Cup titles in the late 70’s skiing Elan. Perhaps more important, but not as widely known, is the fact that Elan revolutionized skiing in the early 90’s by inventing “side cut” skis which are the precursor to today’s “shaped skis”. Salter’s was one of the first US retailers to carry Elan and introduce and educate customers to the joys of skiing a shaped ski. The 2013-2014 Elan’s are thoroughbred carvers that will dig deep, hip-dragging arcs across the hill at even moderate speed, while quickly and easily transitioning from edge to edge. We are proud to re-introduce Elan and have them join K2, Volkl, Line, Nordica, and Goode in this season’s ski lineup.
Salter’s adds Flow to their line of snowboard products
Dave, September 2013
Flow started out with a revolutionary snowboard binding system based on a patented step-in/step-out technology intended to combine the levels of control available from traditional strap-in bindings, with the convenience and fast entry of step-in binding systems. They continue to make some of the best bindings on the market. Easy entry means less sitting in the snow to strap in, and more time riding.
Flow has brought that same level of innovation to their 2013-2014 line of snowboards. If you're a versatile rider who is equally at home in the park and on the steeps, Flow snowboards will quickly become your go-to choice.
